It was really interesting providing Audio Visual services for the Fifth Annual LG U.S. National Texting Competition in Manhattan on October 26th. Exhibit House NCompass designed a stunning background display utilizing two Panasonic High Definition 103" Plasma Displays and five 70" LED Displays.
Contestants had to text accurately on LG's unreleased DoublePlay Android phone, which features a split keyboard and two screens. After a full day of fast and furious competition with 12 other texters, 16-year-old Austin Wierschke from Rhinelander, WI won the competition. He took home a $50,000 prize! He intends to use it toward a college degree in architecture. This contest definitely gives new meaning to "sitting around twiddling your thumbs!"
